Twenty-nine of the 760 reviews behind this guide put an actual number of minutes on an appointment, across 26 of the 159 salons. Laid end to end they cover a range wide enough to wreck an afternoon if you plan against the wrong end of it.

The fast end first, because it is real. At lol's 1 nail, 106 Nguyễn Văn Thoại, 538 reviews at a flat five, two women did a manicure and a pedicure together in forty to fifty minutes, and the customer came back three weeks later to say it was all still holding. At 1998.nailsroom, 172/5 Trần Phú, 413 reviews, hands and feet were run at the same time and the whole visit came in under an hour. A different customer at the same shop took two hours for the same pair of services. Nothing changed except the day.

The middle is where most people actually land. About an hour and a quarter for everything at Oanh Beauty & Nail on Trần Duy Chiến, 71 reviews. An hour and a half at Nails 4U, 177 Đống Đa, 116 reviews, for a 600K combo plus 100K of French tips. An hour and a half at YaMe Nail a few doors along the same street, 354 reviews, for a 400K extension set and her mother's toes at around 200K. Just under two hours at Yen Spa on Hàm Nghi, 126 reviews, to take an old gel set off and put a new one on.

Extensions are quicker than their reputation. A full set with art took about an hour and ten minutes at Hanii Nail on An Cư 1, 180 reviews. At SuNam on Phan Bôi, 621 reviews, a builder gel set on long nails came in under two hours with a hand-sculpted 3D accent nail in it. The pre-shaped soft-gel tips that most shops here use are the reason: the shape arrives in the packet rather than being filed out of powder.

Then the long end. Two and a half hours at Posh Nails and Spa on An Thượng 9, 763 reviews, for a design the customer herself called complicated. Two and a half at SORA K-NAIL STUDIO, 76 Phan Châu Trinh, 476 reviews, for 680K · and that reviewer's own advice to the next person is to allocate the time. Three hours at Lena Nails on An Thượng 3, 249 reviews, for infills and a pedicure, with a line in the review telling you plainly that this is not the quick option. Three at Lalla on An Thượng 29, 1,101 reviews, with two technicians working at once. Three at KEL ART on An Thượng 5, 136 reviews, for a mother and a daughter's hands and feet.

And the record, further up the same street. Hehe Nail Room, 182b Phan Châu Trinh, 45 reviews: appointment at one, walked in at half twelve, left at half five. Five hours, about 750,000đ, old extensions off and a new set on. Four stars, and the single star she took off was the clock.

So: one service on one set of limbs, an hour. Anything that starts by taking something off, two. Anything you had to show a photograph to explain, three. Put nothing behind it.

The quote is a courtesy, not a contract

Chuty Nailroom at 169/5 Trần Phú, 68 reviews at 4.6, quoted thirty minutes for a single-colour gel manicure and took two hours. That is not a typo and it is not a complaint, exactly. The customer itemises what the extra ninety minutes contained: serious cuticle work, careful shaping, two layers of reinforcement gel she was not charged for, cuticle oil, a short hand massage at the end. The bill was 190,000đ. Her conclusion is that she would recommend the place on price and quality, and that anyone who wants a short, efficient nail service should go somewhere else.

Now the same variable pointed the other way. 수지네일 Suzy Nails on Trần Phú carries 11,737 Google reviews, the largest count anywhere in this dataset. Its one-star is about speed: a manicure that took fifty minutes on one day, a pedicure finished in twenty-five the next, and a result the customer describes as looking like ordinary polish. At Jisu nail, 115 Trần Phú, 118 reviews, a booked 45-minute foot service ran about thirty and the technician left partway through to start somebody else.

That asymmetry is the whole point of knowing the numbers. In a city where a gel colour is about 200K, the labour is not a line on the bill · the labour is the bill. A service that runs long is a shop doing the work. A service that runs short is a shop that has found a way to sell you less of the only thing you were buying. Worry about twenty-five minutes. Do not worry about two hours.

There is a structural reason nobody in the room can quote you accurately, and it is worth understanding rather than resenting. Nail work here is priced per service, not per minute. The only treatments in this guide sold by duration are the spa pedicure rituals · forty minutes, fifty-five, sixty-five, seventy-five · and those are the ones that finish on time, because the number is the product. Everything else finishes when the technician thinks it is finished.

Hai thợ: four hands, and what they actually compress

Eleven of the 159 salons in this guide carry a review describing two technicians working on one customer simultaneously, and it is the only lever in this article that reliably moves the clock.

At DzonDzon Nails, 48/9 Đường 2 Tháng 9 in Hải Châu, 748 reviews, a customer describes a manicure done with four hands at once, including the removal of her previous set. At Quin Quin Nail, 187 Nguyễn Hoàng, 106 reviews, a manicure and pedicure done by four hands, in those words. At HQ Nail on Nguyễn Hữu Thọ, 339 reviews, two technicians split the nail service and the foot service between them. Out in Liên Chiểu at SHOP PHUONG TRINH, 15 Bàu Mạc 23, 56 reviews, two women ran a cat-eye manicure and a pedicure together and layered the polish carefully on nails the customer says are very thin.

The cleanest arithmetic in the dataset is CIAO NAIL STUDIO at 22 Mai Thúc Lân, 653 reviews. Appointment at 11:30. Manicure and pedicure, full designs on both, out of the door by one o'clock. The reviewer names the mechanism herself: they work at the same time. Compare Liti Nail Hair at 107A Đình Nghệ, 1,166 reviews, where the same two services done one after the other took about two hours, from a customer who was perfectly happy about it.

The catch is staffing, not policy. At MOON NAILS, 48 Đặng Vũ Hỷ, 279 reviews, the customer got her nails and toes done at once and says so directly · she went at a quiet hour, and got chrome and art inside the bargain. Nobody is holding a spare technician for you at seven on a Saturday evening. So the request is really two requests: four hands, and an hour when the shop has four hands spare.

Ask in the booking message rather than from the chair, because bookings here happen on Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp and a written line reaches the person building the rota. The phrase is hai thợ làm cùng lúc · two technicians working at the same time · and in English most shops understand "manicure and pedicure together".

One honest limit. Four hands parallelises hands against feet. It does nothing for a single complicated design, because two people cannot paint one nail. That is why Lalla's customer sat for three hours with two technicians on her: the constraint there was the work, not the staffing. If your reference photo has flowers in it, no amount of extra staff is getting you out early.

Nine in the evening is a close, not a last slot

Da Nang took more than 850,000 visitors across the five days of the National Day holiday, 29 August to 2 September, up 37% on the same holiday last year, with over 275,000 of them staying the night and hotel occupancy at 65 to 70% across the city · the figures were reported by the Vietnamese press in the first week of September. The beds are full and they are all within a short taxi ride of a nail chair.

Which makes the shape of the trading day worth knowing. Of the 159 salons here, 139 publish a Monday schedule. 133 of those are open by nine in the morning · 77 open at nine on the dot, 27 at eight, 26 at half past eight. At the other end, 52 shut by eight in the evening, 25 more at half past, 24 at nine, and only 38 in the whole city are still working after that. A two-hour set started at seven in a shop that closes at eight is arithmetic that does not work, and the shop will say yes anyway.

Every complaint about being kept waiting in this guide names an evening slot. At Jini nail, 179 Trần Phú, 832 reviews, a customer booked for eight and was started around twenty past, with her therapist walking off midway and leaving her lying there for ten minutes · the explanation she was given was that a new branch did not have the staff. One star. A second one-star at the same shop, same hour: booked for eight, sent upstairs, everything laid out, nobody came for the best part of twenty minutes. At Trà Beauty, 777 Trần Cao Vân out in Thanh Khê, 27 reviews, a customer was given a 6:15 to 6:30 slot, turned up at six, and was still unserved at quarter to seven. She left two and a half hours later with her nails stripped back off.

The counterexample is worth having too, because late is not automatically bad. At M Nail & Spa, 238 Võ Nguyên Giáp, 184 reviews, a customer was started fifteen minutes after her appointment and given the full hour anyway. A late start that does not eat the service is a scheduling problem. A late start that does is a staffing one.

The opinion, and it is the most actionable line here: book the first slot of the day. Nine in the morning is the only hour when a Da Nang salon's staffing matches its diary, it is the coolest part of the day to be walking to An Thượng in, and these shops do not close for lunch, so you are not asking anyone for a favour. Nobody in these 760 reviews has ever been kept waiting at nine in the morning.

The day you fly

SheNa Nail at 27 Yên Bái, 191 reviews, which puts its own walking distance from Hàn Market · 250 metres · straight into its Google business name: a couple flying back to Singapore on 23 June 2026 had about two hours before they needed to leave for the airport, and the salon they had planned on had moved premises. They walked into SheNa instead. The wife said she had forty-five minutes and asked whether both a manicure and a pedicure were possible in that. The shop took it, and did it. Her husband's closing line in the review is that another ten minutes would have cost them the flight.

That is a good story and a bad plan. If you have under an hour on a departure day, buy classic polish · about 100K on the price tables · rather than gel. The difference between them is lamp time and cure risk, and an uncured set on the way to the airport is a known failure mode in these reviews rather than a hypothetical one. The general rule about where gel belongs in a beach week applies with more force on the last morning.

There is also an option almost nobody mentions, and on a departure day it is the right one. Miko Home Nails Service, registered at 48 Hà Bổng behind My Khe, 62 reviews at a flat five, comes to your hotel room. One customer had her old gel removed, a design painted and a gel pedicure done in two hours without leaving her room. Another notes she did not have to wait or step outside at all. Strip out the walk there, the walk back and the twenty minutes in a plastic chair while somebody finishes ahead of you, and a two-hour appointment stops being a two-and-a-half-hour absence.

Where the hour goes, and the sentence that buys it back

The time is not mysterious once you know what is in it. Removal of an existing set is 60 to 90K and fifteen to thirty minutes before anything new starts. Cuticle work is its own step and a long one · the skin half of the manicure is where Chuty's missing ninety minutes went. Each colour coat needs its own cure. And hand-painted art runs 10K to 100K a nail on the guide's own tables, which means a design quoted at 60K a finger is also, quietly, a quote of roughly a minute per thousand dong.

Money is a weak predictor of time and design is a strong one. SORA's two and a half hours cost 680K. Hehe's five hours cost about 750K. Chuty's two hours cost 190K. The number that forecasts your afternoon is not on the price list · it is on your phone, in the photograph you are about to show somebody.

So do not ask how long it will take. You will get a number nobody in the building is bound by, and everyone will be embarrassed about it later. Say when you have to leave. The wife at SheNa got a manicure and a pedicure inside forty-five minutes because she named the deadline before anyone picked up a file, and a technician who knows the deadline will build the appointment backwards from it · fewer coats, simpler shape, one pair of hands or two. Given a guess instead, she will simply do the job properly and let the clock do what it does. That is the correct instinct in a technician and the wrong one to walk in on with a dinner reservation. It is also, incidentally, the first thing worth testing at the door: a shop that asks what time you need to be finished has already told you how it runs.
